Bill Briggs has extensive legal experience. He began his law practice in 1970 and concentrates on the areas of Personal Injury, General Civil Litigation, Contracts, Real Estate and Municipal Law. Bill is City Attorney for Detroit Lakes. He represents other area cities and served as legal counsel to the Pelican River Watershed District. Since 1994, Bill has been on the Minnesota Supreme Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Roster as a qualified neutral for mediation and arbitration services. Bill served as a Board Member and Chair of St. Mary's Regional Health Center. He is an active Kiwanis Club member and served as its president. He is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.
