James Ramstad retired from his legal practice in 2006, but continues to be a
valuable resource and chief legal assistant for the firm. Jim practiced
law from 1948 to 2006 during which he had extensive legal experience,
particularly with real estate, wills, probate, and business law. Jim Ramstad
served as City Attorney for Detroit Lakes and Frazee from 1961 to 1987. He has
been a valued part of many community organizations and served as President of
the Minnesota Seventh Judicial District Bar Association (1966-1967) and as its
