August 7, 2006 Dick Beardsley Fishing Report
|
The fishing here in the DL area
remains pretty much the same as last week. The crappie bite has picked up a bit. Most of the fish are coming from the deep cabbage during the day and up on top of the cabbage early and late in the day. Lindy Nipper jigs and 1" tubes have been producing the crappies and bluegills. The northern pike bite continues good on area lakes on Shad Raps and jig and minnows. Bass fishing continues excellent on all area lakes. The walleye bite is still sporadic but some fish are still coming from Detroit and Big Cormorant Lakes on Jigs and minnows. Please remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will have great fishing for years to come! Dick Beardsley's Fishing Guide Service |
