Dick Beardsley Fishing Report

The hot weather of recent days and more in the forcast
has really slowed the walleye fishing! Your best bet
now is to try and get out early or do some night time
fishing. Big Cormorant Lake is a excellent night
fishing lake and trolling cranks along the flats at
night usually produces some fish even durning the
hottest weather. The Largemouth bass bite remains good
along the deep breaks and weedlines on all area lakes
using plastic worms or tubes. The crappies are roaming
in the deep cabbage and deep holes. They are a little
hard to locate, but once you do, the fishing can be
super! Bluegills are being caught on Lindy Rigs and
leeches or crawlers in deep water. Please remember to
practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will
continue to have great fishing for years to come! Have
a great day on the water!
