Dick Beardsley Fishing Report

The hot weather continues here in the area with
surface water temps. close to 80 degrees! The walleye bite is sporadic with the best bite coming early or late in the day. Big Cormorant has a late night bite going on slip bobbers and leeches and also trolling cranks. The bluegills are hitting on Crystal, Lizzie, and Round. There have been a few big crappies coming from Rose Lake in deepwater. There have been some reports of the musky action starting to turn on using bucktails on Detroit Lake. The largemouth bass continuues good with the biggest fish coming from deepwater on plastics. Please remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will continue to have great fishing for years to come!
