Dick Beardsley Fishing Report

The walleye bite is still a little hit and miss. The
fish that are being caught are taking minnows,
crawlers, or leeches on jigs or Lindy Rigs. Depths of
12 to 30 ft. From in the weeds to along the deep
edges, it all depends on the weather. Pelican, Height
of Land, Cotton, Big Toad, Lizzie, Strawberry, and
Crystal are all kicking out a few walleyes. The
largemouth bass bite continues at a good pace on just
about anything you want to throw at them. Detroit,
Little Cormorant, Big Cormorant, Prairie, Long, Floyd,
Melissa are all going strong. The crappies are out on
the deep cabbage beds and bluegills can still be found
up in the shallow water areas. The Northern Pike bite
is good on jigs and minnows. Please remember to
practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will
continue to have great fishing for years to come! Have
a great day on the water!
