Dick Beardsley Fishing Report

The Largemouth bass fishing has been fantastic in the
area the past week! They are hitting just about
anything your throwing at them from surface baits to
fishing the deep weedlines with plastic worms. Many of
those fish have not spawned yet so please practice
catch and release on these great fighting fish! The
walleye bite is starting to pickup with the fish now
pretty much in there summer patterns. The deep
weedlines and breaks using a Lindy Rig and leech or
crawler are working well. Pelican, Big Cormorant,
Lida, Lizzie, Crystal, Round, Little Bemidji, are all
kicking out some fish. The bluegill bite remains
strong on area lakes in the shallow water areas, the
crappies for the most part have moved out into deeper
water and in and along the deep cabbage. Please
remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so
we will continue to have great fishing for years to
come!
