Fishing · Dick Beardsley fishing Reports - May 1, 2006
The panfishing in the DL area was really starting to heat up before all the rain came this past week! Things have slowed down and the bigger crappies have slipped back out into a little deeper water. Once the sun returns the shallows will again be producing well. Cotton, Franklin, Crystal, Cormorant, Prairie, Little Bemidji, Little Detroit, Sallie, Melissa, Big Toad have all been producing well. Lindy Little Nipper jigs and small Foxie Jigs have been working well with a 1" plastic tail. Wax worms on small jigs have been hot for bluegills. Please remember to practice selective harvesting, by doing so we will continue to have great fishing for years to come!
