FRIENDS OF ITASCA 26TH ANNUAL OZAWIINDIB WALK

Following in the footsteps of Ozawiindib - Ojibwe guide to Henry Rowe Schoolcraft in 1832. Participants will follow a 5 kilometer (3 mile) walk route on your own. Or, join the naturalist as you learn more about Ozawindib - Henry Rowe Schoolcraft's Ojibwe guide who led the way to Lake Itasca in 1832. The walk starts at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center, follows portions of the Bike Trail, Ozawindib, Aiton Heights and Deer Park Trails and returns to the Visitor Center. The course is well marked.
Registration is available the day of the walk. Participants will receive a t-shirt with their paid registration. Assemble outside the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center at 1:00 PM.
