  • Feeding Characteristics: Active feeding generally occurs during early morning and in late afternoon, or in the evening. Locate largemouths around cover, structure and less obvious differences like current or shadows. These features are more important to bass than to most other gamefish.
  • Angling Methods: All kinds of tackle can be used, from fly-fishing, spinning, or baitcasting. Bass will take almost any bait it can swallow. A variety of lures and live bait can be used- plastic worms, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, crankbaits, surface lures, jigging lures, nightcrawlers, frogs, minnows, etc.. Typical bass waters are lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and sometimes rivers and small streams.
